Year of the Pork Producer

Fifty years ago, Nebraska pork producers recognized the importance of working together across the state and across the nation. These men and women pork industry leaders paved the road for the Nebraska Swine Council now known as the Nebraska Pork Producers Association.

NPPA asks that you mark your calendars to join NPPA at the Stone Creek Event Center in McCool Junction, Neb., September 24, 2011 to celebrate the association’s 50th Anniversary. As NPPA gathers with past and current pork producers, allied members and friends of the pork industry, NPPA will recognize and honor past industry leaders. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased by phone (402) 472-0493 or online (click here) by September 16, 2011. Ticket includes a meal and the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet.

As NPPA honors the association’s history, NPPA will continue its commitment of service by giving back to communities across the state. The Nebraska Pork Producers, Farmland Foods, Hormel Foods Corp. and Tyson Fresh Meats, have partnered with the Food Bank for the Heartland in an effort to feed the hungry throughout the 2011 year.
